Refund Policy

1. Notarial Fees Are Final

Notarial fees are charged for services rendered and are non-refundable once the notarial act is completed. This includes:

  • Acknowledgments

  • Jurats

  • Oaths/Affirmations

  • Certified copies

  • Remote Online Notarization

Missouri law prohibits refunding fees once a notarization has been performed, as the service is considered complete at that point.

2. Travel, Convenience, and Service Fees

Refundable:

  • If Blu Note Notary cancels your appointment

  • If a scheduling error was made on our side

Non-refundable:

  • If client is a “no-show”

  • If the signer fails to produce valid identification

  • If the signer refuses or is unable to sign

  • If documents are incomplete or unlawful

Travel fees compensate for time and travel already incurred.

3. Technical/Platform Issues (RON)

In the event of technical failures beyond our control (e.g., platform outage, internet interruption):

  • The session may be rescheduled at no additional charge

  • Refunds for platform/technology fees may be provided only if the session never begins

4. Client-Requested Cancellations

  • Cancellations made 2+ hours prior to appointment may receive a refund of travel/convenience fees only

  • Cancellations within 2 hours may be subject to partial or full travel fee charge

Notarial fees are not applicable until service is performed.

5. Incorrect Documents

If the client provides the wrong version of a document, or if errors are discovered after notarization, refunds will not be issued. Blu Note Notary is not responsible for document preparation or content errors.

6. Payment Disputes

Blu Note Notary will make reasonable efforts to resolve any payment concerns directly and professionally. However, chargebacks for completed notarial acts will be contested with documentation.
